Feeling cheeky this Valentine’s Day? Name a roach after your ex!
There are a couple of fundraisers to check out if you’d like to get some revenge while helping a good cause.
At the San Antonio Zoo, you can name a roach ($15), rat ($25), or veggie ($5) after an ex at the San Antonio Zoo for their annual Cry Me a Cockroach fundraiser. Then they’ll feed it to one of their resident animals! (Participants must be 18 or over.)
If you’re feeling a little more romantic, check out the Name a Roach fundraiser at the Bronx Zoo. These Madagascar Hissing Cockroach aren’t pests, they’re residents at the zoo. Name a roach after your valentine for $15 and you’ll get a digital certificate; for $35, you’ll get the certificate and a virtual roach encounter.
The Birmingham Zoo has a similar fundraiser, but orders needed to be in by February 1.
