When you think of spooky Halloween decor, what do you think of?  Pests!

Spiders, rats, mice, bats, snakes, roaches — AHH!

Hopefully this Halloween season, you’re seeing these critters as costumes, candy, and decorations.   And if you’ve ever wondered why  bats, rats, cats, and the like are associated with spooky season, National Geographic has an answer.  (Of course, we don’t consider cats to be pests.)  Actually, in nature, all of these spooky animals are amazing creatures with important roles to play in their ecosystems.  In our homes and businesses, though, infestations can become costly, stressful, and dangerous to our health.

Check out PestWorld’s Halloween Guide to Spooky Pests, and for good measure, here’s their guide to Keep Rodents from Haunting Your home this Halloween.

If you do see something spooky in your home this time of year, you’re not alone.  When the temperatures drop, critters start looking for ways inside to get warmth, food, and shelter.  If you see a spooky uninvited guest this fall, just give us a call!
